Now I see hope

I worked on a story with reporter Kristine Gill about a local family receiving financial assistance in the form of therapy sessions from a local charity, H.U.G.S. The oldest son, Matthew, 9, is diagnosed with Bipolar, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity disorder, and Sensory Processing Disorder. Understanding his behavior has been tricky. He threatened to kill himself, hits his brother, calls his mother names and often has what the family call, meltdowns. Guided by therapy sessions, structure has been added to their home life. His mom said she sees hope because Matthew has made positive strides with his behavior.

The story is here.

Father and daughter

We move quickly to our destinations. Hold on tight to the seemingly insignificant things on the way. These are the feelings we keep forever.
